The School of Behavioral and Social Sciences is accepting functions for the Summer time Analysis Initiative (BSOS SRI)! Should you’re searching for a paid summer time program that offers you analysis expertise within the behavioral and social sciences, then we encourage you to make the most of this chance.

The BSOS Summer Research Initiative is a part of the UMD’s School of Behavioral and Social Science’s long-standing dedication to growing the variety of underrepresented minorities who pursue graduate levels within the social and behavioral sciences. This system gives rising juniors and seniors with an 8-week intensive expertise to develop analysis abilities, study doctoral coaching, and enhance graduate coaching readiness. 

The SRI gives:

  • A $3,000 stipend (earlier than taxes)
  • Journey to/from School Park, Maryland
  • College housing and meals
  • Program actions

Program Dates

The 2022 BSOS SRI runs from June 6, 2022 – July 29, 2022. Individuals are required to reach Saturday, June 4th for the weekend orientation.

Key Expectations and {Qualifications}

  • Be residents or everlasting residents of america;
  • Be enrolled full-time at an accredited four-year larger training establishment, with choice given to these may have obtained junior or senior standing by the autumn 2022;
  • Show an curiosity in pursuing graduate examine in one of many behavioral or social sciences, with choice given to these taken with doctoral research;
  • May have taken a fundamental statistics or analysis methodology course; and
  • Possess a superb educational document, together with a 3.0 or higher cumulative GPA
